Skunkworks’ Clients Win Recognition in Canadian Law Blog Awards.

Doug Jasinski

2011 is off to a terrific start here at Skunk HQ with news that our client Donna Seale was a co-winner of the “Best Practitioner Blog” in the Canadian Law Blog awards for her blog “Human Rights In The Workplace”, better known in the legal community as “The Clawbies“.  The judges cited Donna’s blog as “an outstanding mix of practical advice and thought-provoking reflections” and we couldn’t agree more.

Two other Skunkworks clients also received well-deserved recognition.  David Bilinsky’ blog “Thoughtful Law” was a finalist in the Practice Management category, while Courthouse Libraries BC was a finalist in two separate categories – their public-focused legal information portal “Clicklaw” in the Best Canadian Law Blog category, and their lawyer-focused blog “The Stream” in the Law Librarian category.

Blogging has very much moved into the mainstream of the legal profession over the last few years and the quality and range of content now available on Canadian legal blogs is truly impressive.  Our congratulations to our clients, and to all the winners and finalists in this year’s awards.  We encourage you to review some of the other winners yourself for a sense of just how diverse and in-depth the legal blogosphere has become in this country.
