The British Columbia Land Title Survey Authority has recently announced new rules that will require electronic filing of various Land Title Forms in the Land Title Office. It’s a major change, and as such, requirements to file electronically are being phased in, with the first taking effect July 1, 2011, and several more commencing in January, 2012.
These requirements will affect the many BC lawyers and notaries that have a real estate component to their practice. Skunkworks client Dye & Durham has just released a white paper on the impacts of these new requirements for the BC legal community.
