This form has been developed to assist the designers at Skunkworks Creative Group.  We estimate that the questionnaire should take you 15 minutes to complete.

  • General Design Priorities

The foundation for your new site.
  • What is your primary concern with your current website? e.g., what’s missing or doesn’t work as well as it should?

  • Please list your top 5 competitors, with domain names for each.
  • Please confirm your top 10 priority keywords in order of perceived value. Keywords are the generic search terms that someone would use when looking for a lawyer. For example: "Vancouver Personal Injury Lawyer."
  • Please provide us with at least one short caricature client profile. For example: "Female professional, aged 52, MBA, married with two high school kids heading to university, skier, general manager at MEC, spinal cord injury"
  • Our colour palette can be inspired by your existing brand identity, or something different entirely. Please browse Colour Picker and let us know your preferences. Either send us the hex code for your base colour on a complementary scheme, or just tell us: "Blue/Gold/LightBlue."
  • Learning from Others

Let us know what you think of these specific website designs. 5 means that you really like a design. 1 means that you really hate it.
  • Navigation Layout

The Navigation menu is the road map to your website. It illustrates the path users will take to explore your site. Most sites use horizontal navigation, vertical navigation, or some kind of hybrid.
  • Vertical navigation runs up and down along the side of the page:
  • Traditional Horizontal navigation runs left to right along the top of the page:
  • Uses hybrid navigation i.e., traditional left to right horizontal navigation as well a vertical navigation to view specific landing pages:
  • A Fat Navigation displays a long list of navigation options in drop-down or fly-out menus. These are used to show all the subpages in site sections:
  • A sticky navigation is a horizontal navigation that stays at the top of the page as you scroll down:
  • “Hamburger” menu indicates this site is meant to be viewed primarily on mobile:
  • Imagery and Video

We always prefer to work with distinctive imagery and themes. We will fill any gaps with stock imagery and video. We are also looking to add more video to our designs. Video can be compelling or distracting. Finding the right balance is important. Please let us know what you think.
  • Home Page Layout

We can design a comprehensive home page or keep it minimalist.
  • Bio Pages

Other than the home page, these are the most important pages on the site.
  • Practice Management Functionality

Websites are increasingly integrating with back-office functionality, including accounting and file management. Please let us know if you are looking for any such integrations on your website.
  • Please elaborate
  • Are there any design elements above that have not been addressed? Examples would include a love of Google's Material Design framework or Bloomberg's use of white space. We are also always looking for a consistent theme for each site.
  • Social Media Integration
